Steveenduro Posted September 5, 2008 Report Posted September 5, 2008 Hi.Just thinking how reliable the car has been of late when..Drove into work this morning, and out of the blue, I hear a whirring/humming noise from the front end.It is not really noticeable on tick over, but increases in pitch with engine revs.I'm thinking maybe a worn component on the auxilliary belt?I would appreciate any input. Thanks Quote

Beyond Help? Posted September 5, 2008 Report Posted September 5, 2008 Try turning the air-con on/off and see if it changes. Other than that your going to need a mechanics stethoscope to listen to things like the alternator, water-pump and the tensioners to try to find the cause. Quote
